Location and Transport

About Brighton:

The cosmopolitan city of Brighton & Hove is located on the South coast of England. Bodhisattva Centre and the Hove Centre are just a few minutes from the beach and are close to many shops, cafes, resturants and hotels.

The venue: The celebration will take place at the Hove Centre (at the Hove Town Hall), Norton Road, Hove BN3 4AH which is a 15 minute walk from Bodhisattva Centre. The venue is comfortable and spacious. There is a large and inexpensive car park opposite the venue (£3.50 per day).

Bodhisattva Centre: is hosting the SDC and is very close to the venue. We will have cafes open at Bodhisattva Centre on Saturday evening, even if you are not staying at the Centre, you are more than welcome to come along and visit.

Transport to Bodhisattva Centre by:

Car: (from London and the North) from the A23, at the first roundabout as you approach Brighton turn left and stay in the left hand lane, this will lead you on to the A27 going west in the direction of Worthing. Come off the A27 at the next junction (only stay on the A27 for about ¼ mile). At the roundabout, take the second turning, signposted to Brighton, this is Dyke Road Avenue and becomes Dyke Road. Continue along Dyke Road past two sets of traffic lights until you reach the Seven Dials Roundabout, here take the 5th exit (Montpellier Crescent). At the first set of traffic lights, turn right onto Montpellier Place, this becomes Lansdowne Road. The entrance to Bodhisattva Centre is opposite the top of Cambridge Road.

Train: Bodhisattva Centre is situated equidistance from Brighton and Hove train stations. Visit www.thetrainline.com to book train tickets.

Taxi: A taxi from the Brighton or Hove station costs approximately £5.

Air: the nearest airport is Gatwick. Gatwick airport is 30 minutes from Brighton by car or train, several trains an hour run from Gatwick to Brighton. Heathrow airport is about 90 minutes from Brighton by train. Visit www.thetrainline.com for train times.

Parking
Parking can only be provided at Bodhisattva Centre for disabled badge holders. Other car users can drop off luggage at the Centre then park at Norton Road Car Park opposite the venue. The car park charges are £3.50 per day. Please note: Parking wardens operate in Brighton and Hove 7 days a week, often from 8am to 8pm.
