Retreat Days: Introduction to Meditation
Saturday 11th July 9am-6pm
Saturday 28th November 10.30-5.30pm
During
the retreat you will learn the basics of meditation: how to meditate,
what is meditation, how to prepare for meditation, the meditation
posture, different types of breathing meditation, how to integrate
meditation in your daily life. Sessions last for about one hour each.
The meditation teacher will give a short talk in each session and
guided one or two meditations. There is also time for discussion.
This retreat day is part of the weekend retreat and you are welcome
to attend on Saturday only, or come to the whole weekend, please see
our weekend retreats page.

this retreat we will be seeking happiness from within. Learning about
meditation and mantra, finding freedom from anxiety and fear and understanding
how we can overcome stress. Discover how to have a calm and relaxed
mind in any situation.

On
this retreat we will focus on meditations for a clear mind. Derived
from the Buddhist mahamudra tradition, these meditations lead you on
a voyage of exploration of your mind through which you can discover
your own inner potential for lasting peace and happiness. Through learning
how your mind works, you will be able to use that understanding to bring
your mind under control, and in this way improve the quality of your
life, both now and in the future. This retreat will be guided by the
Resident Teacher of Bodhisattva Centre - Kelsang Nyingpo.
